Since May, Voices In Harmony and the ensemble, Viva Voce, have had several performances serving community events aside from our concerts at Main Beach. This outreach is one the the reasons VIH exists. We are proud to bring LIVE music to our community!
On Sunday, May 3, 2015, Viva Voce sang the Star Spangled Banner for the kick-off of the Bob Blazier Run For The Arts. We were at the Raue Center by 7AM! This terrific event raises thousands of dollars for the Raue Center. One of our members, Bob Ladner (singing in running shorts and shoes), ran and raised $140.
Viva Voce performed for the McHenry County Conservation District’s Celebration of Wildflowers & Art on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Coral Ridge Conservation Area in Marengo. A beautiful day with a beautiful event!
Viva Voce participated for the second year in the Crystal Lake Memorial Day Ceremony at Union Cemetery on Monday, May 25, 2015. We are honored to be a part of this meaningful event honoring our Armed Forces Veterans.
Members of VIH sang the Star Spangled Banner for the start of the McHenry County Patriot Run on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at McHenry County College. We had to be there by 7 AM! On Saturday afternoon July 25, 2015, Viva Voce, sang a 45-minute program for Faith and Family Day, an event created by the Marengo-Union Clergy Alliance. Though it was hot, it was a fun performance!
That same evening, Saturday, July 25, 2015, members of VIH sang the Star Spangled Banner at the Opening Ceremony of the MCYSA Summer International Championships. The ceremony was at Lippold Park. The tournament has baseball teams representing Puerto Rico, Japan, and the US. This is our third year at the event.
On Sunday, August 16, 2015, Viva Voce sang a 60-Minute program for the Huntley ArtFest. We began at 2:00 PM – a hot day, but a great concert!
