An accomplished concert and oratorio artist, Chicago tenor PEDER REIFF has become highly sought after throughout the area. Known for his dynamic and energetic performances, Peder has been seen throughout the country singing with such companies as The Fort Wayne Symphony, Chautauqua Symphony, Opera Illinois, and the Music Institute of Chicago. Recent performances include Elgar’s “Light of Life” with the Chicago Master Singers, Schubert’s “Mass in A Flat” with the Apollo Chorus, Mozart’s “Coronation” Mass with the St Charles Singers, and Handel’s “Messiah” with Voices in Harmony.
On the opera front, Peder has been seen performing throughout the country with companies such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chamber Opera Chicago, Opera Illinois, L’Opera Piccola, Opera for the Young, the Chautauqua Opera Company, and the Seagle Music Colony. Favorite roles include Nemorino in The Elixer of Love, Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte, and Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus.
As a Master’s Degree student at Indiana University, Peder studied under world-famous bass-baritone Giorgio Tozzi and currently holds the record for appearing in more operas in a single season than any other student that has attended the school…having appeared in seven operas in one year. Originally from Superior, WI, Peder now makes his home in Westchester, IL.
